Royal Opera House 24-25
Elaine travelled to the Royal Opera House in London on 13 October for the launch of this years Chance to Dance project. We received a lecture from Zenaida Yanowsky, ex Principal of the Royal Ballet Company and the original Queen of Hearts in Alice. Zenaida taught us some repertoire from the production and discussed her approach in playing the character. We then had several creative workshops with Lead Artists on the programme looking at ways to approach this repertoire with children in our classes. Our Chance to Dance Company classes start after half term and we can’t wait to get started after such an inspiring day! Miss Natasha skipped this one to support our young dancers who were taking part in their first exam after a clash of dates-thank you Miss Natasha!
